THE old Anderson farmhouse has been split in two ahead of its move from Greenbank to New Beith.
Residents reported the house was on a truck and moving toward an exit at Teviot Road about 2.30pm.
The farmhouse, that overlooked old grazing paddocks, is a considered a landmark by Greenbank residents and symbol of rural residential life in a world of encroaching development.
It sat on a rise that overlooks the 481 hectares that will become a new suburb of up to 3300 residential homes.
The Mirvac development will deliver an 85-hectare conservation parkland, linked to existing Logan City Council owned conservation land via extended walking trails, approximately 25 hectares of regional sports and recreation parks and neighbourhood and linear parks.
