LOTUS Vana resort staff are offering a confidence building program for disabled residents without a cent of government funding.
President of Lotus Vana resort Mike Rennie said weekly art and music sessions were being held at the old school building at Logan Village at Wharf Street from 10.30am to 12pm.
“During the last four weeks we had an art workshop and now we are doing percussion,” he said.
“We are about improving mental and physical health through socialisation.
“We have no funding at all we do this all through fundraising. We are in the process of applying for NDIS support.”
The kids painted flowers and vases during the first week and developed confidence with their successes.
Lotus Vana staff are raising money through running stalls at Greenbank Markets and have a Charity Golf Day planned on May 18.
People can sign up for the Charity Golf Day by calling 3287 1951.
