NOT everyone knows what they want to do after they finish high school, but for some Flagstone State Community College students the choice has been made a little easier.
The College held a careers expo day on Friday, with more than 60 career stalls set up to provide students with insight into a wide range of potential interests.
Police, firefighters, Australian navy, SES and numerous other professionals attended the college and informed students about the intricacies of their jobs.
Flagstone State Community College teacher Jennifer Krause said the event was made possible due to the hard work of the year 10 junior Chamber of Commerce students.
“They set up a sausage sizzle fundraiser and the money will go towards the Cancer Council for Relay for Life,” she said.
Junior Chamber of Commerce member Joshua Clark said it was a good opportunity for students to know what options were available to them.
“This is all about getting youth to view their options for future career paths,” he said.
Fellow junior chamber member Chelsea Brennan said it was vital for people to choose a career path they can invest all their energy and passion into.
