POLICE have put illegal dumpers on notice after uncovering a large pile of rubbish next to an old fridge dumped four kilometres from the Browns Plains tip.
A police spokesperson said Browns Plains police patrolling in an all-terrain vehicle near Green Road, Park Ridge on Sunday had found a bogged utility with a trailer attached next to the rubbish.
A 45-year-old Inala man, who was allegedly driving the ute, was charged with illegally dumping waste.
He is to appear at Beenleigh Magistrates Court on April 26.
Police have been conducting ATV bush patrols since 2014, with five of the vehicles being provided by Logan City Council to police stations in the district.

Browns Plains police Constable Robert Lavallee warned dumpers they would have nowhere to hide from police.
“The illegal dumping of waste is a serious problem in our bush land areas,” he said.
“With our easy accessibility to these areas, it is likely offenders will be caught.”
Logan City Council’s lifestyle and community committee chairman Cr Steve Swenson said providing police with the right resources was essential to ensuring a cleaner community.
“The ATVs are primarily used in local parks and bush lands where traditional means of policing is difficult,” he said.
“These vehicles allow police to improve their patrols through the green areas of Logan and access locations they cannot access with a regular police vehicle.
“Council will continue to support the use of ATVs to help prevent crime and create a safer community in Logan.”
Cr Swenson said council was also using surveillance cameras to identify vehicles dumping in public and frequently dumped areas.
Council warned that individuals could face a maximum penalty of $2523 and corporations could be fined up to $9461 for illegally dumping waste in excess of 2500 litres.
