THERE is still time to sign up for a junior soccer team ahead of the season launch after Easter.
Teviot Downs Soccer Club is calling for players in the under 8, 9, 10 and 11 age group as well as female players to sign up for a season of competitive fun.
The women’s side has a track record of supporting the McGrath Foundation and wear pink socks each year to get behind the cause.
Club president Melissa Tucker said rain had prevented them from holding some training events but she expected they would ramp up going into Easter.
“Wet weather has hampered training. The seniors have only got in two sessions because of the rain and the juniors should be starting back on Tuesday nights after 5.30pm,” she said.
“We love seeing the rain but it is slowing our training down.”
Teviot Downs competes alongside teams such as Jimboomba, Logan Village, Park Ridge and Greenbank.
