JIMBOOMBA hosts South East Queensland Expo, a celebration of all things camping, caravanning and fishing this weekend.
About 10,000 people will attend the expo, a favourite with adventure holiday makers over three big days at Hills International College from Friday to Sunday, March 16-18.
Bush cook ranger Nick Small will demonstrate camp oven cooking. Other attractions include the Shimano fishing tank, a reptile display and free children’s rides.
Jimboomba Lions Club will host the event, assisted by Logan City Council.
Proceeds go to Heart of Australia, delivering medical treatment to remote Queensland towns, RACQ Life Flight, operating 12 rescue choppers and three air ambulance jets in 11 locations and the ongoing restoration of Jimboomba Community Hall.
The event raised $30,000 last year.
Tickets are $10 for adults. Children under 16 and under are free with a paying adult. Parking is free.
