North Tamborine Police Station’s Senior Constable Stephen Hargreaves displayed his snake wrangling skills when he called upon by a local resident.
The 3.5 metre python had taken up residence and was quite happy enjoying the warmth of the area.
The python was released into the local habitat.
After being released, the python was last seen enjoying the midday sun.
Police said the station received multiple calls about snake encounters on a daily basis.
Residents are encouraged to contact local snake handlers if they are concerned about a snake on their property.
