Logan man charged after robbery

A LOGAN man has been arrested after a robbery at Coorparoo on Wednesday afternoon.

A police spokesperson said they would allege in court that a woman found a man in her Rome Street house about 3.10pm.

They would allege the man tried to hit the woman with a glass bottle after she yelled to a relative for help.

The man ran out of the house and attempted to leave on a bicycle, but was stopped by the male relative.

Other people helped to hold the man until police arrived.

The 45-year-old man has been charged with one count each of robbery with personal violence, enter dwelling, serious assault of a person over 60, burglary, possession of a dangerous drug and possession of implements for house breaking.

He will appear at the Brisbane Magistrates Court on Thursday, February 15.
