CHICKS Conquering Cancer are selling ceramic pots, bird baths and other donations to raise money at a pop-up store at the Jimboomba Convenience Centre.
Volunteers set up the store in a vacant shop in the Brisbane Street centre on Friday.
The new pots, bird baths and candleholders were donated to the group and are being sold with succulents, pictures and hand-made items.
Kathy Smith said the group was raising money to help people with cancer.
“The money may be used to pay for parking at hospitals, fuel or transport to get to hospital,” she said.
“We also help survivors by paying for a cleaner or someone to mow the lawn.
“Things like that can help people so they don’t have to worry when they are going through chemotherapy.”
They also provide qualified coaches to help support survivors.
Chicks Conquering Cancer hold events to raise money and provide an opportunity for people to make friends and enjoy an outing.
