A FURTHER warning of damaging winds, heavy rainfall and large hailstones has been issued for Logan.
The Bureau of Meteorology warned storms were detected near Beenleigh at 3.25pm.
More storms could hit Logan about 4.25pm.
Marcus Bruty said golf ball size hail had fallen at Mundoolun.
UPDATE 3.10pm
ENERGEX is reporting that more than 500 houses in Logan are without power.
It includes homes at Cedar Grove, Cedar Vale, Veresdale and Woodhill.

A SEVERE storm warning has been issued for Redland and Logan cities.
The Bureau of Meterology has warned of the potential for heavy rain, large hail and damaging winds to hit Logan by 3.10pm and the Macleay Island and Victoria Point areas by 3.40pm.
Areas in the firing line include Noosa and parts of Ipswich, Gympie, Somerset, Scenic Rim, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast and Brisbane City Council Areas.
Aa bureau spokesman said dangerous storms were detected on radar near Tamborine and Canungra.
These thunderstorms were moving towards the east to northeast.
Damaging winds, heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding and large hailstones are likely.
A total of 63mm of rain fell in one hour south of Beaudesert earlier today.
In the Beaudesert area more than 1200 people have lost power.
