YARRABILBA residents have rallied together to reschedule the Christmas carols event that had to be cancelled last weekend.
Carols in the Parklands will be held on Friday, December 22 at Darlington Parklands.
The event will start at 5pm with pop-up food trucks providing dinner.
There will be community performances, with local singers, from 6pm to 7pm, followed by the formal carols.
Councillor Laurie Koranski will switch on the Christmas tree lights and Footlights Theatrical singers from Brisbane will provide entertainment.
The evening will end with a fireworks show at 8.30pm.
Pictures can be taken with Santa in a special photo booth.
The event is pet and alcohol-free.
Organisers had to cancel the carols last Saturday due to storms.
It is the second time the event has been held at Yarrabilba.
About 5500 people attended last year.
