THE summer of reading fun continues at Logan libraries with after dark sessions fun sessions offered this month.
City lifestyle and customer services committee chairman councillor Steve Swenson said the Library After Dark: Game On Party ties in with the ‘Game On’ theme for this year’s program.
“This theme is designed to celebrate Australia’s sporting culture, team mateship and the countries who will be visiting Australia to participate in the 2018 Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast,” he said.
The party sessions will be held at:
- Logan West library on January 10 from 5.30pm to 7.30pm
- Logan Hyperdome library on January 17 from 5.15pm to 8pm
- Marsden library on January 19 from 5.30pm to 7.30pm
The Summer Reading Club started in December and will run until January 23.
Participants can register at any library or at summerreadingclub.org.au.
Everyone who takes part goes into the draw to win sets of Lego.
Cr Swenson said the program would conclude with a create-your-own pinball machine session.
“Using card and other craft materials, children will be able to make their own pinball machine while celebrating the end of the summer reading program,” he said.
These sessions will be held at various times at the Beenleigh, Jimboomba, Greenbank, Logan Hyperdome, Logan Central, Logan North and Logan Village libraries.
Bookings are essential and can be made at any Logan City Council library or online via loganlibraries.org/whats-on
