INFLATEABLES: Giant Christmas inflatables will decorate theFlagstone Wonderland event on December 16. The event is to celebrate Christmas and open the new skate plaza at Flagstone Central park.

Flagstone Central park at Homestead Drive, Jimboomba will be transformed when a Santa DJ, skating elves, giant trees and fireworks light up the park from 4pm to 8pm on Saturday,  December 16.

There will be a giant party with the focus being the opening of a new skate plaza, the newest play space to be built in Flagstoneā€™s giant regional park.

Professional skating demonstrations, a learn-to-skate workshop and jam for the kids, start at 3pm.  There will be prizes for various skills. Whether it be on boards, bikes or scooters, the latest track designed by internationally-renowned Convic, of Melbourne, is a great place to show some tricks. To be part of the action, head to the Flagstone website on peet.com.au/communities/brisbane-and-qld/flagstone/updates and register before the day.  There is a  learn to skate workshop from 3pm to 4pm, local skate jam from 4.45pm to 6pm and demonstrations from 4pm to 4.45pm.

There will be arts and crafts and food stalls . There is also the opportunity to donate a gift under the Christmas tree, for those who may otherwise not receive one.

The skate plaza has been cleverly integrated into the $12m park and incorporates an ampitheatre and grassed seating, with views over the skate track and stage.  Patrons are invited to bring a blanket or chair. This is a free event.
