Local businesses, community members and organisations passionate about working with kids and teenagers and delivering exciting activities during school holidays are invited to be part of the 2018 and 2019 KRANK program in the City of Logan.
City Lifestyle and Customer Services Committee chairperson councillor Steve Swenson said KRANK was an amazing school holiday program for young people aged five to 17-years-old in Logan.
“KRANK runs for about two weeks during each school holiday period and is a fabulous way for the city’s youth to beat the school holiday boredom,” he said.
“We want to encourage anyone interested in delivering activities as part of the KRANK program to apply.
“We are always on the lookout for new and fun activities to offer as part of the program.
“Examples of things we have run in the past include magic, cooking, Lego and fishing workshops, rock climbing, go karting and even circus workshops.
“Our KRANK program is extremely popular with the community and we have hundreds of children taking part each year in the activities on offer.”
Council is looking for people to deliver activities over the following dates:
* July 2 to 15, 2018
* September 22 to October 7, 2018
* January 12 to 25 , 2019
* April 6 to 21, 2019
To apply, read the expressions of interest information sheet and complete the application form at www.logan.qld.gov.au/krank and return to elisedaw@logan.qld.gov.au by 5pm, on January 8.
