Raided: Council offices were searched by Crime and Corruption Commision officers on Monday.
Crime and Corruption Commission officers searched the offices of Logan City Council on Monday, December 4.
The officers executed a search warrant on council's headquarters including the offices of mayor Luke Smith in the afternoon as part of ongoing investigations related to Operation Belcarra.
Mr Smith issued a statement saying he would happily assist with any investigation.
Operation Belcarra has been investigating the conduct of some candidates involved in last year's local government elections.
The investigation involves candidates who ran for the Gold Coast, Moreton Bay, Ipswich and Logan councils.
