Jimboomba played the first of a double header on Saturday at home against Logan Village Blue. Batting first, Jimboomba was in trouble at 8/94 after 25 overs. Only Reid Breeze, 57, and Rodney Teese, 15, made double figures. Ben Thurlow, 37no, and Joe Plater, 65, then put on a 95-run partnership for 195 after 40 overs.
Logan Village, in reply, were dismissed in 20.4 overs for 76. Best bowlers for Jimboomba were Ben Nash 3/18, Braedan Lose 3/14, Ben Holley 1/11, Heath Mutch 1/17 and Ryan Galea 1/9.
The Bushrangers ground out a hard fought win on Sunday against Springwood Gold at Eagleby.
Jimboomba restricted Springwood to 9/168 after 40 overs. Wickets went to Joe Plater 2/31, Phil Hayes 2/36, Reid Breeze 2/28, Braeadan Lose 1/21 and Ryan Galea 2/10. Jimboomba started poorly to be 2/4 after five overs. Reid Breeze, 29, and Ben Thurlow, 14, steadied the innings then Joe Plater, 27, Shannon White, 30, and Phil Hayes 44 not out had the Bushrangers home in the 38th over to finish 6/172.
