Greenbank will benefit from an upgraded park ‘n’ ride facility if Labor is re-elected at the November 25 state election according to member for Logan Linus Power.
The Labor government has pledged a $69 million commitment to upgrading the park ‘n’ ride facilities in south-east Queensland if returned to office.
Algester MP Leeanne Enoch said the local community would benefit from expansions to Greenbank bus park ‘n’ ride.
“This upgrade means we’ll have less cars on the road and commuters will get home sooner,” she said.
“This is a big win for our community and will add an extra 600 car spaces to Greenbank bus station bringing its capacity to more than 840.”
Lgan MP Linus Power said park ‘n’ rides were crucial to the transport network and allowed locals to connect with public transport and avoid congestion and expensive inner city parking.
“If re-elected, I will see this project through and delivered for the local community,” he said.
