Logan Village business Concord Industrial Coating has had $30,000 worth of equipment stolen from its premises.
CIC employee James-Anthony Maher, who is the son of the business owner, said the business’ alarm activated at 2.30am on October 10.
Mr Maher said when he and his father arrived at the premises, they saw CCTV footage of the incident and he had put an appeal out on Facebook for information which would lead to an arrest or to find the equipment.
“There were two water blasters, car parts and other machinery,” he said.
Mr Maher said the business was supposed to complete a contracted job on the Sunshine Coast this week but now was unable to.
“It’s pretty low that people need to steal to help themselves,” he said.
Mr Maher said the business was insured and they were still able to conduct smaller jobs.
“We just have to find that money to replace the machinery so we can get up to full steam,” he said.
“That water blaster is a huge part of the business.”
A Queensland Police spokesperson said the business was broken in to between 5pm on October 9 and the early hours of October 10.
Investigators were looking for a white or cream Toyota Hilux seen in the area.
Anyone with information that could assist police can contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
An earlier version of this story reported Mr Maher as a manager of the business.
