THERE will be plenty of chirping at Cedar Vale on Sunday, October 22 with budgerigars, finches, parrots and canaries among the birds flying in.
The occasion is the Australian Budgerigar Society’s carnival show, supported by more than 500 people last year.
There will be shows, displays and everything to do with birds for sale.
Australian Budgerigar Society president Wayne Robinson said the carnival day offered fun for the family.
“Attendees can also speak one-on-one with some of the most experienced bird breeders,” he said.
“There will be more than 30 displays and visitors can get up close and marvel at the variety of birds on display.”
For children there will be a jumping castle, fairy floss and snow cones.
Bird clubs from across south-east Queensland will be represented at the event.
Entry is free and there is plenty of parking.
Cafe ABS will have barbecue lunches and drinks on sale.
The show is held at a private property at 510 Millstream Road, Cedar Vale.
It will be from 9am to 1.30pm.
