ARIA award winner Megan Washington travelled to Yarrabilba on Friday to headline the Place of Song Festival.
The free live music festival was a celebration of culture through song.
More than 600 people, from Yarrabilba and as far as Brisbane, headed through the monthly Mingle Markets before finding a bean bag or picnic rug to settle in for the evening at the Darlington Parklands.
Australia’s Got Talent star Chris Tamwoy warmed up the crowd with songs which celebrated the Torres Strait culture.
The children were out of their seats when Mingle Markets resident band Jahbutu’s infectious Caribbean tunes were on and despite the rain, CKNU kept the crowd up and dancing.
Headline act Megan Washington performed classic hits such as Clementine and How to Tame Lions, as well as new music from her currently untitled and unreleased album.
Community members hailed the evening as a hit with plenty of food and entertainment to keep everyone entertained.
