Logan Village Community Centre was busting at the seams when the Southside Spinners, Weavers and Dyers club celebrated their 25th anniversary on April 18.
More than 25 people joined in on the celebrations, where seven of the original members were recognised by the club.
Founding member Beverley Wise travelled from Bribie Island to be with the group for the morning.
Ms Wise was president of the club for 13 years and saw the club through several location changes.
“We originally started out at Park Ridge and moved halls there,” she said.
“It used to be hard to find somewhere cheap for us all to meet.
“We then moved out to Logan, but after few years we came back into Logan Village.”
Ms Wise said there had always been friendship in the group and plenty of talkers.
“Sometimes it gets very loud in here,” she said.
Coordinator Judy Sheppard said there was a real sense of history having so many founding members in the room.
“It’s really great to see so many people here with us in Logan Village,” she said.
“We are having a great time showing off what we’ve all been doing.”
Traditional spinner Mandy Hodges had only been with the group for eight-months but said her time was well spent with the members.
“There’s just so much knowledge in this room,” she said.
“Anything you want to know how to do, they will know how to do it.”
The Southside Spinners, Weavers and Dyers meet at Logan Village Community Centre, on Wharf Street, every Tuesday.
