Flinders sports house has won the annual Inter House Cross Country at Jimboomba State School with 613 points.
There was a tie between houses Henderson and Logan for second place, on 495, and third place was awarded to Lindesay, on 364.
Sports Coordinator Paul Ball said the results were counted twice to ensure there was an official tie for second place.
“It was a great morning for the cross country,” he said.
“Sunny but hot and humid.
“Students participated really well and cheered on their house mates when they ran.
“They love running in the paddock next door through the trees.”
The students ran distances from one to two kilometres, dependent on their age.
The top five students in each age group now go on to the Beaudesert Zone trials which will be held at Emmaus College on April 20.
The top 10 from this day will be nominated to run at the Pacific District trials at Rivermount College on April 24.
The students will start preparing for the Inter House Athletics Carnival on May 19 and 20 when school returns.
