Fences at the Logan River Redlands Trail Riding Club are set to be repaired and replaced, thanks to an $18,000 grant from the Federal government.
The $18,812 grant was awarded as part of round two of the government’s Stronger Communities Programme and will be used to maintain and upgrade parts of the club, as well as give the Chamber Flat Equestrian Grounds some much needed ‘TLC’.
Forde MP Bert van Manen said the grant would also allow the club to purchase new equipment and upgrade its canteen.
“Unfortunately the Logan River Redlands Trail Riding Club experienced break-ins in the past, so this grant will (also) help them improve security and replace stolen items,” he said.
The Stronger Communities grant is part of the Coalition Government’s $45 million Stronger Communities Programme – which has delivered $150,000 each year, in the last two years, to the Forde electorate.
