Jimboomba Toastmasters are asking the community to come and help them celebrate their 500th meeting on October 26.
The meeting will be held in style at the Hills Golf Club, Jimboomba on Wednesday 26th October 6:30pm.
Jimboomba Toastmasters has gone from strength to strength, supporting the local community for the last 20 years by helping hundreds of people speak and communicate with confidence.
The club chartered on February 14, 1995, and met at various locations before moving to the current location at Dorrington House in Johanna Street, Jimboomba.
Club meetings are held every second and fourth Wednesday at 7pm.
Club spokeswoman Nataliya Kotykhov said as part of Toastmasters International, the Jimboomba club certainly lives up to the Toastmasters mission statement.
"We provide a supportive and positive learning experience in which members are empowered to develop communication and leadership skills, resulting in greater self-confidence and personal growth,” she said.
“Over the years the club has supported people to learn effective communication and leadership skills be they professionals, students, stay-at-home parents or retirees.
“Toastmasters is the best way to improve your communication skills and help you conquer the fear of speaking, face to face or publicly, helping you to be more successful whatever your chosen path.”
Members of the public as well as past and present members are welcome.
