A limited edition signed print by Miriam Innes is up for grabs for one lucky patron of Logan West Library this month.
The fine artist, whose tradework large-scale charcoal sketches have wowed art lovers around the world immigrated to Logan from Ireland in recent years.
Visitors to the Logan West Library in Browns Plains will have the opportunity to experience a little of the artist’s journey to date through an exhibition of her work titled “The Essential Walk.”

“I have luckily travelled to many countries and have also lived in quite a few,” she said.
“I use charcoal to express and capture the essence of each place; it enables the viewer to silently appreciate the not so obvious charm and beauty, which can be discovered in buildings, streets and seemingly bland and uninteresting architecture.”
“The staff at Logan West library have been wonderfully supportive and accommodating for the launch of the exhibit.”
To enter the competition you must visit the Library during the month of August, take a photo of a section or detail from a Miriam Innes charcoal drawing on display, upload it to Instagram using #miriaminnesprint and follow the artist @miriaminnesart.
Alternatively you can submit in 30 words or less your favourite work on exhibit and why, by using the competition entry form provided at the library.
The winner will be announced on September 5 on Instagram.
