Round 11 for the Tantyle Accountants Logan Village Falcons under 13s was expected to be a tough game, but they claimed the win 7-2 against strong competition in Rochedale Rovers, the win keeping the Falcons in contention for the semi-finals.
Rochedale scored twice in the first few minutes of the match, which could have potentially changed the game for Logan Village. But they didn’t let this alter their game plan, nor did they lose sight of victory.
At the 15th minute Timothy Angus scored the first goal for Logan Village, then the nets opened up. By half-time the scoreboard was 4-2 in favour of the Falcons with Angus executing another two goals along with Cody Saunders who also scored in the 24th minute. The second half was all the Falcons, with three goals scored again by Angus along with some impressive finishing from Trent Castle and Max Wagner to score the last couple of goals.
The full-time score was a massive reflection on a game played and won by a deserving team on the day with Logan Village boys taking it home 7-2.
There were no further goals from Rochedale after the fourth minute due to the Logan Village’s goal keeper Jarrod Shoebridge, showing his form and ability in not allowing the Rovers to see the inside of the net again.
With amazing attack, defence and fire in their eyes to bring this one home, it was truly a great game to watch.

The team’s motto is to ‘never give up, strive and do your best’ which proved a powerful one on the day.
