Discipline and effort by the Jimboomba Thunder under 12 Gold team on Saturday resulted in a 20-6 win against Nerang.
Commitment to defence contributed to this result greatly with Louruce Brown leading the tackle count for the Thunder.
Tries were scored by Timmy Sielaff-Burns, Lorenzo Wall and Kobe Fox (2).
Conversions were made by Huntah Cresswell and Mitchell Savage.
Most improved player was William Moa and the player of the day was Ryleigh Lewis.
Under 11 Gold
Under 11 Gold's hard work at training in recent weeks paid off with the best team performance of the year.

All of the players played their role and dominated the game despite being one player short.
Tackling pressure from Blake Whelan, Dylan Tate, Hayden Holmes and Malachi Holman put the team in great position to score eight tries to two.
Jake McKay and Isaac Davis scored three tries each, whilst man of the match Ryan O'Malley scored his first two for the season.
Guy Howe and Lochlan McKellar both performed well in dummy-half, helping the boys move forward.
Birthday boy Lachlan Gilloway was awarded the positive or pointless award for his great supportive play throughout the match and for sticking to the game plan.
Under 8s Gold
Under 8s Gold showed great improvement against Burleigh on Saturday.
Man of the match Isaia Evile played outstanding in both defence and attack which earned him a try.
Cooper Bramston-Beadling, Chase Taylor and Kevin Moa put Thunder on the board making strong metres up the side to score tries.
Levi Turpin was given the team work award for his strong running and great sportsmanship on the field.
Fantastic line speed and cover defence was also on display from Charlize Lewis and Tane Robertson.

Under 14 defeated by Ormeau 28-10. Under 15 defeated Coomera 14-6.
Men defeated by Wynnum Manly 40-6.
Women defeated by UQ 24-18.
The next round’s home games are this weekend and are local derbies with the Thunder Women’s side taking on Flagstone at 2.30pm, and the taking Mustangs at 4pm.
