The Jimboomba Gymnastics Club have ranked among the best in the state at the Gymnastics Queensland 2015 Annual awards night which was held in mid January.
Jimboomba Gymnastics brought home awards for their Club Facility Development, a grants award as well the Highest Percentage Growth Award.
Jimboomba Gymnastics Coaching Director Christine Mahoney said the club was extremely excited to bring home awards.
“We are up against the whole state,” she said.
“It’s great to get recognition and this will help us to continue promoting or club.”
“This is a really really big boost for us.”
The club facility award was given to the Jimboomba Gymnastics as they have increased to two venues as well as making the transition to a static equipment instead of the previous pack away situation.
The club grants award was on the basis of being one of the states highest recipients of grant money over 2015.
The percentage growth award was due to the club being able to have 511 club member registrations due to their venue size.
Gymnastics Queensland CEO Kym Dowdell said the Jimboomba Club have been outstanding over the 2015 year.
“Their percentage growth has been an 80 per cent increase which is just awesome,” she said.
“They have taken the risk in their new venue and have increased classes as well as doing club development."
“This is a way they can promote themselves, they continue to promote and have a capacity to grow even further.”
“I have no doubt they can do it with their commitment and energy.”
Jimboomba Gymnastics started back for the year on January 25.
