LOVE was in the air at Hills College on Friday with students and staff receiving serenades and roses.
About 15 year 12 students organised and performed the serenades as part of a Valentine's Day fundraiser for their formal.
Dressed up in a colourful array of costumes, including pink tutus and wings, the students went from class to class singing and presenting gifts to individual students and staff who had been nominated to receive it.
The serenade of songs included Treasure by Bruno Mars, Rick Astley's Never Gonna Give You Up, Somebody To You by The Vamps and Love Is An Open Door from the movie Frozen.
The Valentine's Day serenade tradition is in its fifth year at the school and one of its organisers, Rochelle Roger-Jones, said it got better and better every year.
"It is so much fun to be a part of, it's exciting," she said.
"We have about 20 people to sing to this year and so all of the year 12 students taking part go into the classrooms, surround the student or teacher and dance while serenading them.
"Not all of us can sing very well but that's what makes it funny."
Fellow organiser Alex Redding said about half of the serenades were anonymous, so the person will not know who bought it for them.
"We get pledges from students who just want to embarrass their friends in class but it's all in good fun," he said.
"The money we raise go towards our formal and it really is a big help."
