A third new COVID-19 case has been confirmed this afternoon, with a woman who works at an after school care contracting the virus.
The 22-year-old is a worker at YMCA Chatswood Hills' outside school hours care.
Queensland Health said she was a known close contact of two other confirmed cases of the virus.
Those two women travelled interstate together last week.
One case involved a cleaner at Parklands Christian College, forcing the school to close.
Queensland Chief Health Officer Dr Jeannette Young said contact tracing was underway, and appropriate action had been taken at all relevant locations.
"While we are still determining where the virus may have been acquired, we are working closely with these women to gather necessary information, including other places they may have visited whilst infectious.
"As always, we strongly recommend everyone with symptoms, particularly people who have travelled interstate recently, to immediately get tested.
"Vigilance is key to keeping community transmission out of Queensland.
"Therefore, if you live in the areas of Logan, South Brisbane or Springfield and are feeling unwell please stay home and immediately get tested."
