HEAVY rain, which may lead to flash flooding, is forecast across south-east Queensland, according to the Bureau of Meteorology.
In a severe weather warning issued at 5pm, BOM reported that Mount Tamborine had recorded 145 millimetres of rain within six hours to 3.20pm on Friday.
Flagstone Creek recorded 105 millimetres within the six hours to 10.10am.
The heavy rain could affect Brisbane, the Gold Coast hinterland, Logan and Iswich.
Queensland Fire and Emergency Services advises that people should:
- Never drive, walk or ride through flood waters. If it's flooded, forget it.
- Keep clear of creeks and storm drains.
- For emergency assistance contact the SES on 132 500.
UPDATE 4pm
ROADS across in Jimboomba and the surrounding area have been closed by Logan City Council.
The roads include Latimer and Steele roads in Logan Village, Green Road in Heritage Park and Schmidts Road at Logan Reserve.

MORE roads have been added to the council’s road hazard report.
In Jimboomba, council has warned of water across the road at Henderson Road, Homestead Drive, Kurrajong Road and Millstream Road.
Cedar Grove and Cedar Pocket roads at Cedar Grove are reported to be under water.
Other reports have been made for Greenbank Road at North Maclean, Mundoolun Road at Mundoolun, Cedar Vale Road at Cedar Vale, Red Gum Road at New Beith and Dairy Creek Road at Waterford.
Other roads under water are: Bahrs Scrub Road, Bahrs Scrub; Clarks Road, Loganholme; Pimpama Street, Waterford; Stern Road, Carbrook and Holmview Road, Beenleigh.

PARENTS with children at Flagstone State School and Flagstone State Community College have been advised to fetch students early, where possible.
The schools have issued the advisory due to rising creeks in the Flagstone area.
The schools will remain open until 3pm and all students will be supervised.

EARLIER
COUNCIL has warned of water over roads in Jimboomba, Cedar Grove, Cedar Vale and Mundoolun after flash flooding on Friday morning.
Logan City Council’s disaster dashboard warned at 11.30am that Millstream Road at Jimboomba, and Cedar Grove and Cedar Pocket roads, Cedar Grove were under water.
Road hazard warnings were also issued for Cedar Vale Road, Cedar Vale and Mundoolun Road, Mundoolun.
Emergency Services Minister Craig Crawford said on Friday morning even a small amount of flood water could wash a vehicle away, putting the driver and passengers in danger.
“It also puts the people who need to rescue you at risk,” Mr Crawford said.
“Any flooded road can be deadly. People have died trying to cross flooded waterways.
“The size of your vehicle doesn’t matter, nor whether you’ve driven the road a hundred times before – If it’s flooded, forget it.”
