Pop on a loud shirt and come to dinner, all to help deaf children.
A loud shirt dinner will be held at the Golden Inn Chinese Restaurant, Jimboomba from 7pm on Wednesday, November 29 to raise funds for deaf children.
Hearing and speech director of Jimboomba Quota Jean Heron said every $250 raised gave a deaf child full assessment to check that key learning milestones were being met.
Ms Heron said Quota had supported the work of Hear and Say with dinners of this nature since the early 1990s and most dinners raised enough for at least one assessment.
She said Hawaiian shirts were always a favourite and some chose to attend wearing a plain shirt with a “horrible tie”.
The event is $25 for a full Chinese buffet. During the night there will be raffles, games of Chinese whispers, games, quizzes and a presentation by the Hear and Say Centre. Book on 0404 034 496.
