Wongaburra aged care services is at the ready to help those living in Beaudesert and surrounds live independently longer.
In the latest round of Home Care Package authorisations 47,729 packages were made available between February and June, with some 32,000 of those allocated to Level Two provisions.
Level Two provides low level care needs, while Level Three and Level Four provides for intermediate level and high level care needs respectively.
Wongaburra CEO Peter Kneen said there is a need in the community for Level Three and Four support and the organisation is ready and able to begin offering the services.

It is now calling on the commonwealth government to make provisions to release assistance for higher levels of care amid this community need.
“When it happens we are ready to provide suitable, quality care through our Home Care Packages including diabetes management, cleaning and domestic services, meals, general care, as well as medical care,” he said.
Wongaburra has grown the number of packages it provides from 23 to 40 in recent months.
Mr Kneen hopes with the next release of packages the centre can take that number to 44. Home Care Packages allow individuals to select their own care type services and who provides them the the ‘Consumer Directed Care’ approach.
Along with medical and domestic care Wongaburra is also able to assist in providing day respite, transport assistance and social activities such as Tai Chi and the Men's Shed.
To find out if you are eligible for a Home Care Package, you need to be assessed by the Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT).
This is completed at no cost.
Once assessed, you will receive a details of your level of care and have the option to access potential service providers in the region, such as Wongaburra.
