Photography student Carol Jarvis-Jackson of Mount Tamborine joins three other Brisbane CATC Design School (Torrens University) students in an exhibition being at Newstead from December 1.
Entitled Coup de Grace, the exhibition will be staged at the White Canvas gallery, 6 Byres Street opening on December 1 from 6pm to 9pm and viewing on December 2 from 10am to 4pm and Sunday, December 3 from 10am to noon.
The exhibition is shared by Misty Wohlman, Brendan Schoutren and Kiowa Sioux, who are all completing Diploma of Photo Imaging degrees.
“This exhibition consists of four personal collections of images that represent each of our individual photographic styles, and will be the final project of our studies before we graduate and pursue careers in photography,” Ms Jarvis-Jackson said.
“I've been studying for almost two years and am about to graduate with plans to launch my photography business based in Tamborine.”
A Coup de Grâce is defined as a decisive finishing act or event. This exhibition represents the final decisive act performed by these artists before embarking on their personal photographic journeys.
Admission is free on opening night with complimentary beverages and canapes. Enquiries to event coordinator Brendan Schouten on brendanschoutenphotography@gmail.com, 0413 607 400
