Jimboomba Bushrangers Seniors continued their winning start to the season making it three from three against Beenleigh Pirates at home on Saturday. Jimboomba lost the toss and was sent into the field first in warm conditions and was able to remove all Beenleigh wickets within 21 overs for 55 runs. Best bowlers for Jimboomba were Josh Schmidt 3/16 off four overs, Ben Nash 2/12-4, Ben Holley 2/11-5, Braedan Lose 1/10-4 and Heath Mutch on debut 1/1-2. In reply Jimboomba ran down the required runs without losing a wicket in nine overs. Rodney Teese finished with 35 not out and David Parry 10 not out.
Division 2
Jimboomba Division 2 hosted both Greenbank and Beaudesert on Saturday morning for a T20 Tri Games over two weeks. The first session saw Jimboomba bat out 20 overs against Greenbank. Jimboomba finished 1/ 218. Best batsmen for Jimboomba were Ben Thurlow 101no, Arden Coy 50no, Luke Bayliss 35no, Lachlan Macgregor 3no and Patrick Teese 1.
The second session saw Jimboomba bowl 20 overs against Beaudesert. Jimboomba was able to restrict Beaudesert to 8/47. Best bowlers for Jimboomba were Cameron Steinhardt 2/2, Joel Mitchell 1/2, Luke Bayliss 1/1, Patrick Teese 1/1, Brayden Hayes 1/0 and Lewis Hinds 1/7. Both matches will be completed next week.
Division 3 Gold
Jimboomba faced Kuraby Blue away on Saturday. Kuraby won the toss and sent Jimboomba in to bat. Another amazing start by Tom Anning and Hayden Steinhardt got Gold off to a solid start. In the seventh over Tom lost his wicket with the team on 41 and Kie lost his wicket in the next over. Yet again Owen was solid and faced 17 balls before falling in the 12th over. Hayden retired on a great 31.
Two quick wickets of Claye and Liam before drinks sent Darcy out to bat. With three ducks in his previous innings Darcy showed nerves but also determination and went on to remain not out for 35. Sebastian and Hayden Y then fell which brought Hayden S back from retirement and Darcy and Hayden finished off the innings both not out and the team with a total of 7/182 off 27 overs. Kuraby went in to bat and although the initial overs were tight they remained strong. Some lacklustre bowling and poor fielding saw Kuraby win the game in the last over. Special mentions: batting - Hayden S 73 not out, Darcy 35no, Tom 18, Owen 10. Bowling - Darcy 3 overs 0/9, Kie 3 overs 0/4, Tom 3 overs 2/18, Hayden S 3 overs 1/21.
Under 10 Green
Jimboomba Division 4 Green travelled to Springwood Suns Club on Saturday. Springwood won the toss and sent Jimboomba into bat first. Jimboomba were able to achieve 4/100 after 20 overs. Best Batsmen were James Dinnar 27, Aston Lyons 16, Jett Wright 10 and Rowan Hayes 8. Springwood in reply finished 5/70 after 20 overs. Best bowlers for Jimboomba were Aston Lyons 2/4, Riley Benstead 1/4, and Matteo 1/13.
Under 10 Gold
Jimboomba Division 4 Gold hosted Beenleigh Pirates at Greenbank on the weekend. Captain Corey won the toss and opted to field. Bushrangers tight fielding and bowling kept the Pirates at 6/47. Great bowling stats with Lachlan 1/1, Corey 3/10, Troy 2/9 and Hayden 1/1 including three maidens between Lachlan and Hayden.
Bushrangers turn to bat and the boys were on fire, accumulating a PB of 3/218. Top scorers were Hayden 53 getting his first 50 including two sixes, Liam 43 with 10 fours, Lachlan 38 with nine fours and big congratulations to Zac achieving his first fours for the season with 27 including three fours. Corey scored 21 with four fours, Troy 8 and Joseph 7. The hard work on the training track is showing on the field. Well done boys keep it up.
