Ten job seekers have graduated from the Green Skills Traineeship program with a Certificate One in Conservation and Land Management.
Two other participants also received statements of attainment at the ceremony on September 15.
Trainees also gained white cards, first aid certificates and ACDC chemical certification.
The 20-week traineeship took place at the Jimboomba Community Garden and was coordinated by the Acacia Ridge Community Centre as part of the Skilling Queenslanders for Work initiative.
Program coordinator Raelee Vearing said the group had made an enormous contribution to the garden’s flood recovery by undertaking re-building, composting and planting.
Ms Vearing said three trainees had been offered jobs.
