Jimboomba Little Athletics held its first all-age club night for the new track and field season last Friday. The club has already conducted two sign on evenings and two smaller pre-season events as well as a free training morning so far this season and there is still time to get involved.
Jimboomba Little Athletics is still accepting new members.
Indications are good that it will be another successful year for the club which has already signed on more than 400 athletes aged between five and 20 years.
The club also offers a Tiny Tot play athletics program focusing on skills development for children aged three and four years which will commence on September 29.
At the recent training morning, children were coached in a variety of events including throws, jumps and hurdles where they learned new skills to apply in training and competition.
