The iconic Bearded Dragon Hotel windmill has been re-erected after years of work to fix cyclonic weather damage caused in 2015.
Managing director Monique Gregory said the windmill had been placed on the property in 2000 and the family were upset to have lost the icon.
”The restoration and refurbishment project cost upwards of $30,000 in its entirety,” she said.
“Every blade of the 1920s windmill had to be re-fabricated.”
Windmill expert Gary Haines said the “25 foot beauty” was a rarity.
Ms Gregory said the team were so happy to have it back.
“It’s truly been a labour of love and is a representation of perseverance and hope for the outback,” she said.
