Your smile is one of the first things others notice about you.
Over time, due to lifestyle factors such as smoking, drinking red wine, coffee and tea, your teeth are subject to staining and discolouration.
To revive your smile, you may consider teeth whitening.
Teeth whitening is more accessible today than it has been previously.
Teeth whitening can be achieved through various procedures, but it’s important to talk to your dentist about which method is right for you and to ensure that your teeth are in the best condition so they are not damaged.

Park Ridge Dental offers two whitening options:
Take Home Whitening System
For most patients, Park Ridge Dental recommend whitening your teeth in the comfort of your own home, as it’s the most cost effective and efficient way to get results.
First, a dentist ensures that your oral hygiene is of a sound standard, before taking moulds to create very thin and comfortable mouthguards, which are custom-fitted to the upper and lower arch of your mouth.
You will be provided with instructions for use and the correct amount of whitening gel to be placed into the whitening trays.
You will be instructed to wear your mouthguard for 30 to 60 minutes a day after brushing your teeth.
Within seven to 10 days, most patients witness changes and visibly brighter teeth.
As the take home system is a low dose dispensed over a longer period of time, Park Ridge Dental believe it is the safest way to whiten teeth, with the lowest risk of developing post-whitening tooth sensitivity.
In-Chair Whitening
Zoom whitening is Park Ridge Dental’s in-chair whitening option.
This is conducted during a 90 minute appointment with a specialised ‘laser’ designed to whiten your teeth.
Patients who prefer an instant whitening procedure, rather than doing it themselves at home may choose this style of whitening.
But first, dentists would ensure that your oral hygiene is of a sound standard, before commencing the in-chair whitening.
