A Logan man has been arrested after allegedly stealing an ambulance during a drunken outburst.
The 57-year-old from Browns Plains called paramedics to his home about 7pm on Sunday, apparently reporting chest pains.
But when an ambulance arrived at his Downing Street home, he allegedly became abusive, shouting at the paramedics and threatening to ram the ambulance out of his driveway.
He got in his car and reversed at the ambulance but pulled up short, before jumping in the ambulance, police alleged.
The man then allegedly reversed the ambulance down the street, without the sirens on, before being stopped by police.
He was arrested, charged with drink driving after allegedly recording a blood-alcohol level of 0.134 and expected to be further charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle and threatening violence, to appear in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court on September 11.
