The Park Ridge Pirates Under 12 side fell just short in its elimination final against Sherwood.
The coaches have been proud of each child who pulled on a Pirates jersey throughout the season.
Each and every one of the players should stand tall and be proud of their record effort – first time for the Pirates to have all its youth teams make the finals.
For most, it was their first taste of finals footy and for some it was their second time in the big league.
The effort they put in during the game gave them every chance of making the second week of finals, but it was not to be.
A huge thanks to all the parents, friends, family and Pirate family who supported the team, it definitely gave the kids a little extra zing. To everyone that helped out through out the year, a huge thank you. Without the volunteers each week, the kids can not do what they love best.
To the rest of the youth teams, good luck and make each and every game count. And make the opposition walk the plank.
