WITH snake sightings reported to have increased as the mercury rose this week, the Jimboomba Times is putting a call out for snake photographs.
Professional snake catcher Tony Morrison said snakes were being coaxed out of hiding places in the warmer weather.
Mr Morrison said snakes did not hibernate, but were less active in winter.
“Their metabolism is slower so they eat less,” he said.
Mr Morrison said as temperatures increased so did the sightings of snakes.
