The Pirates under 15 girls played a great game last weekend against Zillmere. They worked as a team and put in an huge effort to win 18-8-116 to 0-1-1.
Under 12s
Park Ridge under 12s travelled away to take on Calamvale. In perfect conditions, both teams showed their intentions early, making clean possessions hard to come by. Calamvale took the lead in the first quarter taking their forward entries and capitalising on kicking goals. Calamvale never looked back, restricting the Pirates to just one point. Although the score did not reflect how close the game was, the Pirates should be proud of their effort. Final score 9-5-59 to 0-1-1 to Calamvale.
Under 9s
Park Ridge Pirates under 9s hosted Kenmore on Saturday. After playing them earlier in the year, it was a good chance to see where their skill levels had grown. And lifted they had, the Pirates dominating forward entries, the backline strong in defence, and the centres looking for players.
