The hotly contested Jimboomba Police Mater Little Miracles Charity Golf Day has been taken out by a team from the Sunshine Coast police station.
Troy Cavell and Chris Jarvis won the day, held at Hills Golf Course, on a count back against fellow Sunshine Coast officers.
Organiser and Jimboomba police station Sergeant Terry Armstrong said all the teams played well but the count back was due to some sensational golf.
He said the cup had never been taken out by consecutive back-to-back teams.
“We had 66 starters compete in the eighth year of the cup and they came from as far as Bundaberg and Roma,” he said.

Sergeant Armstrong said people came to the golf day to have a social day out and raise funds for a good cause.
“We ended up raising the outstanding amount of $4000 which goes to assisting premature babies,” he said.
Sergeant Armstrong said when they started the charity golf day they never thought it would become as successful as it had.
“I would like to thank everybody that participated in the event and made the event a huge success,” he said.
“The support we got from emergency services personnel and members of the public was overwhelming.”
The presentation was attended by Mater Foundation fundraising coordinator Tara Stringer.
