The Queensland Blue Light Association has thrown its support behind local BMX World Champion Molly McGill by donating funds for her upcoming trip to America.
Molly, 16, will represent Australia at the UCI BMX World Championships at Rockhill, South Carolina.
The McGill family will travel away this weekend in preparation for Molly’s events which will be held on July 28.
Mother Kate McGill said Molly was currently ranked as the number one 16-year-old female BMX rider in Australia and was the current number 2 in the world.
Jimboomba police station officer in charge Senior Sergeant Peter Waugh said he wished Molly the best of luck in her endeavours.
“We will be cheering for you from this side of the world,” he said.
