Parklands Christian College hosted their annual athletics carnival on July 13 and 14.
On July 13, it was the high school students turn to battle it out for sports houses Samuel and Joshua.
Joshua house took out the day with 1828 points, while Samuel house reached a modest 1618 points.
Parklands Vocational Education and Training officer Dee Hudson said there was no chance for the dust to settle on the running track as there were so many children participating.
“The off-field erupted all day as students ran, jumped and threw themselves into all there events with gusto and enthusiasm,” she said.
On June 14, the primary carnival was held with Samuel house winning by more than 700 points.
The lower primary and senior primary were split up to compete in their two houses.
Primary PE teacher Ben Lewis said all students were participating and competing at their best ability to aim to help their teams total.
“The houses have such a great rivalry which creates an awesome and unique atmosphere,” he said.
“Overall it was a fantastic day filled with tight competition and excitement with all students displaying sportsmanship and Parklands values.”
Four primary students also broke athletics records.
Max Finilla broke the records for the 9 years 100m, 200m and 800m.
Liam Beard broke the 12 years high jump record, Hayden Lovaszi broke the 12 years shot put record and Jade Sutton broke the 11 years long jump record.
