Quota International of Jimboomba are hosting a free high tea for potential members to come and chat about joining the group.

The Jimboomba group currently has 17 members but due to their growth in events and community support they are looking to expand their numbers.

We really are a social club that likes to support our community where we can.

Vice president and growth and development officer Wendy Fryer said she hoped ladies of all ages joined in on the information afternoon.

“If you’ve got a few spare hours a month and want to help out the community please come along to our high tea,” she said.

“We really are a social club that likes to support our community where we can.

“New blood brings new ideas and enthusiasm.”

Ms Fryer said Quota members can tailor their volunteering schedule to their own needs.

“We have some ladies who can help in the day and others who can help in the evenings, but everyone pitches in” she said.

“Many hands make light work and we would love for anyone who was passionate about the community to come and join us.”

The high tea will be held on July 22 from 2pm at Dorrington House, Johanna Street, Jimboomba.
