Jimboomba police officers are currently targeting road safety in school zones, as school resumed on Monday, July 10.
Jimboomba police station officer in charge Senior Sergeant Peter Waugh said parents and carers needed to be aware that school zones were now back in force after the holiday period.
“Watch out for your children and other children who will be excited to head back to school,” he said.
“We want people to park in the correct zones, drop their children off safely and drive to the speed limit.
“Keeping vigilant makes our children safer.”
The operating times for most school zones in Queensland are 7–9am and 2–4pm on school days.
