NAIDOC Week
The first full week of July is NAIDOC Week, a celebration of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander history, culture and achievements.
A highlight is the annual flag raising ceremony, held this year at Woodridge State High School hall on Tuesday July 4.

Youth and Careers Expo
If you are interested in a career in the visual or performing arts, film or media, head to Ignite Youth and Careers Expo.
It will take place on Tuesday July 25 from 9am-2.30pm at Logan Metro, 357 Browns Plains Road, Crestmead. Entry is free.
Markets
If you are into markets, the City of Logan has plenty. Beenleigh Town Square Markets are held every Wednesday.
On the weekend Creative Markets set up at Tudor Park PCYC on the second Saturday, and Jimboomba Country Market on the third Saturday of each month.
Every Sunday you can meet makers and growers at Beenleigh Craft and Farmers Markets at the Beenleigh Showgrounds, and for culturally diverse treats head to Global Food Village near Woodridge train station.
Eats and Beats
Eats & Beats is a must-do event for families and food aficionados, delivering mouth -watering meals and live music acts, performing throughout the evening of Friday July 30 at Underwood Park.
