SCENIC Rim farmers, producers, retailers and eateries are preparing to open their doors and gates for Eat Local Week.
More than 90 events will be on offer from June 24 to July 1, including the Winter Harvest Festival, to connect consumers with farmers and to promote Scenic Rim’s best produce.
Farmers will give guests a taste of farm life at several locations for Saturday’s main event, the Farm Gate Festival in the Lost World Valley.
Other events will include Kalfresh Carrot Field Day, Tommerup’s Dairy Farm tours and Mount Barney Lodge’s Bush Tucker Tracker tours.
On Sunday, visitors can go to events like Scenic Rim 4Real Milk Open Day, Valley Kitchen and 131’s Eat Local at Kooralbyn event and the Beaudesert Gourmet Street Food Festival.
